Givt4Kids is a child-focused service that allows children to select from giving options provided by their church using an in-church tablet. Givt4Kids is connected to and controlled by your Givt parent account.

Why we are contacting you
To allow your child to use Givt4Kids, we need your consent to collect, use, and share certain information about your child as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Information we collect
We collect the following information from parents:

  • Parent name (if provided)

  • Parent email address

  • Parent phone number

  • Donation amount and donation frequency (for example, weekly amount)

We collect the following information about your child:

  • Child name (entered by the parent during signup, or entered by the child when using the tablet)

  • The giving option your child selects each time they use the tablet (for example, choice 1, 2, or 3)

  • How your child interacts with the tablet, including:

  • How long they view each option before selecting

  • How many times they use Givt4Kids

Technical information we collect automatically:
We also collect limited technical information to operate and secure the service, including:

  • Device location (the tablet is a fixed device located in your church)

  • Usage analytics and patterns collected through our service provider, Amplitude

We do not condition your child's participation on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for them to use Givt4Kids.

How we use your child's information
We use your child's information to:

  • Show the giving options provided by the church

  • Record which option your child selected

  • Track engagement with the tablet (time spent viewing options, frequency of participation)

  • Allow you (as the parent) to view your child's participation

  • Allow church children's ministers to view participation data through a dashboard

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Givt4Kids experience

  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance the service

How we share your child's information
With your church:
When your child participates in Givt4Kids at a church, we share the following with that church through their children's minister dashboard:

  • Your child's name

  • Your name (as the parent)

  • The option your child selected each time they participate

  • Total aggregate donation amount from all participating families (not individual family amounts)

  • Participation frequency and engagement data

With service providers:
We share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Givt4Kids, including:

  • Amplitude (for usage analytics and tracking)

  • Hosting providers

  • Customer support services

  • Internal analytics tools

These providers are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes and are required to comply with COPPA.

Other disclosures:
We may also disclose information:

  • If required by law or legal process (such as court orders or subpoenas)

  • To respond to government or regulatory requests

  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Givt, our customers, or others

  • To protect the safety of a child

  • To protect the safety and security of the service

  • To enable us to take precautions against liability

  • To law enforcement agencies or for investigations related to public safety

If Givt is involved in a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Givt's assets, we may transfer the personal information we have collected to the buyer or other successor.

Your consent
Parental consent is required before we can collect, use, or share your child's personal information through Givt4Kids.
You provide your consent by completing the Givt4Kids signup process through your parent account, including setting up the recurring donation connected to your child's participation. Setting up the recurring donation transaction serves as verifiable parental consent under COPPA, as it provides notification to you as the primary account holder.
If you do not provide consent within a reasonable time, we will delete any child profile information collected during signup that is not needed to maintain your parent Givt account.

Your choices and rights
At any time, you may:

  • Review your child's information

  • Request corrections to your child's information

  • Request deletion of your child's information

  • Refuse to permit further collection or use of your child's information

  • Withdraw consent and stop further collection or use

You can manage this by:

  • Logging into your Givt account and viewing your child's profile, or

  • Emailing us at support@givt.app

To protect your and your child's privacy and security, we may require you to take certain steps or provide additional information to verify your identity before we provide any information or make corrections.
